Khulna Tigers

The Khulna Tigers had an excellent start to their campaign as they won each of their first 4 matches. However, their form has seen a slight dip in the last week as they have lost their last 3 matches. As a result, the team has dropped out of the top 4.

Anamul Haque has been in excellent form at the top of the order and has scored 3 half-centuries in 7 innings. However, the other batsmen in the top and middle order haven’t been that consistent in their performances. The likes of Evin Lewis, Afif Hossain, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, and Habibur Rahman Sohan have got some good starts but have failed to convert them into big innings.

Kasun Rajitha and Rubel Hossain will lead the attack with the new ball. The duo went wicketless in the last match and will hope to bowl a better line and length here. Mark Deyal was in good form, picking up 3 wickets, and will feature in the spin department along with Nahidul Islam and Nasum Ahmed. 

Rangpur Rangers

The Rangpur Riders are the most consistent performers in this edition of the BPL. With 6 wins in 8 matches, the team is currently sitting at the top of the points table.

The batsmen have done an excellent job for the Rangpur Riders. Babar Azam is the leading run-scorer for them with 251 runs. He has received good support from the likes of Rony Talukdar, Nurul Hasan, and Shamim Hossain. Reeza Hendricks, who was playing his first match of the season on Saturday, scored an excellent half-century.

The Rangpur Riders are also home to some quality all-rounders including Shakib Al-Hasan, James Neesham, and Azmatullah Omarzai who have played an important role in the team’s success. Mahedi Hasan is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 12 wickets and will lead the spin attack, while Hasan Mahmud and Ashiqur Zaman will feature in the seam department.
