KENT vs LAN Match Prediction - Sep 17, 2022

Alright then! After waiting for an eternity, we finally have our finalists in the Royal London One Day Cup 2022 and it couldn't have offered anything better. Kent and Lancashire were two excellent sides in the league stage and that they have made it to the big stage.

The two sides are set to take on each other in a bid to take home the silverware. Both sides are coming off some excellent results in their respective matches and will be looking to build on the momentum. The match is to be played on 17th September 2022 at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, Nottingham.

KENT vs LAN Team Previews

While Kent Spitfires were never the favorites to reach the finals, let alone win it, they have done an excellent job in their past few matches. After finishing the league stage on a roll, they were fantastic in the knockouts. They have had their issues but someone or the other has always turned up for them.

It was a superb innings by Darren Stevens that led the way for them in the semi final. Joe Denly's form has been iffy and he will be a vital cog in the overall scheme of things as he, perhaps, is well capable of proving stability to what otherwise an erratic unit. All in all, they will need to really play out of their skins and if they are able to do that, the Lancs will have their work cut out.

Lancashire are coming into this game on the back of a fantastic win over Sussex in the semifinal. They had almost everyone perform for them in the game as Dane Vilas' century was well complemented by a superb display of bowling by the bowlers.

On paper, Lancashire have a fantastic unit, especially with their experienced players returning from the Hundred. They have an immaculately balanced side and given the record they have this season, they will be confident of making this count. If they are able to perform to their on-paper potential here, getting past them could prove to be incredibly difficult.

Lancashire Playing 11

Pitch and Conditions

Needless to say, this match will be everything to play for both sides and will reward the hard work of over a month. Both sides would want to make this opportunity count to add another silverware count. Both sides have some quality players at their disposal and with players returning from The Hundred, the quality of the sides has only increased. Considering the recent form of the two sides, there's nothing to separate the two sides. Having said that, Lancashire are certainly a better-balanced side between the two, on paper. They should also enjoy playing at the venue of Trent Bridge given the kind of batting lineup they have. Keeping all those factors in the mind, we would be placing our money on a Lancashire win and so should you.
