Islamabad United
Islamabad have managed to put three successive defeats behind them by winning two of their last three matches. The one of those three that they did not win was a washout shared with the Quetta Gladiators. United are still in contention for a berth in the PSL play-offs and another win here can help that ambition.
Agha Salman and Shadab Khan are still Islamabad's leading run-scorers this season. Salman has collected 225 runs in six innings to Khan's 183 in six. Khan will go into this fixture on the back of a match-winning innings of 80 and haul of three for 41 against Peshawar Zalmi recently.
Khan is his team's leading wicket-taker this season with nine in six innings. The leg-spinner is one of the best at the tournament and has been a solid complement to United fast bowler Naseem Shah, who has captured eight wickets in six matches. The pair should be key in this match, too.

Lahore Qalandars
Lahore have not yet managed to win a match this PSL season. They have lost six and shared one washout. They are all but out of contention for the next stage of the tournament. There is still a mathematical chance they can move into the play-offs, but they need to start winning - and soon.
Rassie van der Dussen has been commanding with the bat for Lahore. He has scored 300 runs in six innings and is now the proud owner of a PSL century after hitting 104 not out against Zalmi recently. The overseas recruit has been nicely supported by local talent Sahibzada Farhan.
Shaheen Afridi has had the difficult job of being a bowling captain. But the formal leadership has not necessarily affected his primary role with the ball. Shah has taken nine wickets in six matches during this year's Pakistan Super League. He is perhaps the best left-arm fast bowler at the tournament.
