India

India came out all guns blazing with the bat and managed to make a target of 208 look quite gettable. in fact, had it not been for some hiccups in the last couple of overs, India would have won with 6-8 balls to spare. However, those who watched the match will know that the game was a lot closer and could have easily gone the other way. 

With a win under their belt, it is unlikely that India will make any change to its playing eleven. The strength of the team remains its batting. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, SKY, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, and Rinku Singh make a formidable batting lineup. 

We cannot remember a time when so many attacking left-handers played for India at the same time! 

The template for the batting will be the same. Go hard from he start and do no stop even if you lose a few wickets. SKY's consistency in the T20 format is as baffling as his lack of runs in the ODI's. He could be the player to watch yet again, although we think Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma might be better value picks. 

The bowling lineup for India is a bit weak. Apart from Mukesh Singh, and to some extent Axar Patel, there was no one that managed to any sort of impact. Also, it has to be mentioned that Ravi Bishnoi is one of the worst fielders at the international level and that will always count against him. 

Australia

Australia rested some of its best players like Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa for the previous match. Will one loss cause them to bring their big guns back or will they continue to test out their bench strength? We think someone like Glenn Maxwell might come back into the team but they will avoid too many changes. 

Australia's batting looked in good shape with Josh Inglis scoring the fastest-ever handed in this format for an Australian. Also, we did not see the best of Matt Short but he is another player to watch out for. Steve Smith looks like a misfit in the T20 format and although Australia is making him open, we think it is just a matter of time before he finds himself out of the lineup in this form of the game. 

There is plenty of power with Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, and Matthew Wade in the middle-order but perhaps the depth in the Aussie lineup is a bit lacking. If Maxwell comes in for maybe Aaron Hardie or even Steve Smith, Australia will immediately be a stronger team. 

The bowling performance by Australia was very poor. Tanveer Sangha looked like a net bowler that India would love to face in every match, Sean Abbit kept bowling half-volleys, and not a single bowler was able to generate any kind of pace. 

Bringing in someone like Kane Richardson could end up benefitting the team quite a lot.
