India U19

The Indian team has been clinical in its performances so far and is one among only 3 teams that are undefeated so far in this tournament. They have won all their matches by huge margins and would want to do the same here.

Adarsh Singh and Arshin Kulkarni have played some good knocks at the top of the order and the team will bank on them to get yet another strong start. However, the highlight for India has been the performance of its middle order.

Musheer Khan and Uday Saharan are the top two run-getters of this tournament and are in excellent form. Saharan scored a century in the last match, and put up a 215-run partnership with SS Dhas, who to scored a century.

Coming to the bowling, Saumy Pandey is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 16 wickets and will feature in the spin attack alongside Murugan Abhishek, while Naman Tiwari and Raj Limbani will lead the pace attack. 

South Africa U19

Barring the loss against England during the group stages, South Africa has played pretty well in this tournament to earn a place in the semifinals. However, India is a considerably stronger team compared to the opponents they have played so far and South Africa will need to be at the top of their game.

The opening pair of Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Steve Stolk gave the team a solid start in the last match and will look to do so again in this match. The two are also the top run-getters for the hosts in this tournament. Dewan Marais will be another player to watch out for.

Marais has been pretty consistent in the middle order, scoring 2 half-centuries in his 4 innings, and has an incredible strike rate of 139.71. The seamers, Kwena Maphaka and Riley Norton have done a brilliant job with the new ball. Maphaka is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 18 wickets, while Norton has 11 against his name.

However, the other bowlers haven’t been consistent enough and the spin attack seems to be an Achilles heel for them.
