Hong Kong

Hong Kong hasn’t been in the best of forms of late and was defeated quite convincingly by Nepal in both the matches played so far. However, it now has a chance to bounce back on Sunday.

Nizakat Khan and Anshuman Rath will open the batting for Hong Kong. While Rath played a decent inning in the team’s first match, skipper Nizakat Khan has struggled so far. His performance will be vital if the team wants a strong start.

There are some experienced campaigners in the middle order, including Babar Hayat, Aizaz Khan, and Martin Coetzee. However, none of them have been able to make a meaningful contribution with the bat. Yasim Murtaza and Zeeshan Ali did put up some resistance in the last match but that wasn’t nearly enough to get the team to a big total.

Coming to the bowling, Ehsaan Khan bowled an excellent spell of 3 wickets for just 10 runs in the last match. He will once again lead the spin attack in this match, while Ayush Shukla and Haroon Arshad will feature in the seam department. 

United Arab Emirates

The UAE lost their first match of the series to Nepal and will be pretty disappointed with the way they performed, especially with the ball. However, they have had time to regroup and iron out the shortcomings.

Skipper Muhammad Waseem will be the key for UAE at the top of the order. He has the most runs for the team in the shortest format and will look to give the team a brisk start along with Khalid Shah, who is making his T20 debut in this series.

Basil Hameed is another player to watch out for. He scored a half-century in the opening game and will look to replicate his success. In addition, the UAE has some experienced campaigners in the middle order including Asif Sheikh, Ali Naseer, and Alishan Sharafu. Muhammad Jawadullah is likely to start the seam attack with the new ball and will be supported by Sanchit Sharma at the other end.

Both of them were quite expensive and were wicketless. They will need to bowl a better line and length. UAE does lack a good spinner and that can cost them on the subcontinental wicket.
