The Gujarat Titans are the defending champions for this season and have carried on with the excellent form that they displayed then, by winning both their matches so far.
While there are no superstars in the team, they have plenty of consistent players in all departments who have worked together like a well-oiled machine to dominate the opposition. Wriddhiman Saha and Shubhman Gill will be looking to give a good start here.
Gill scored a half-century in the game against the CSK and looks to be in good form. Vijay Shankar and Sai Sudharsan add stability to the middle order, while Hardik Pandya and David Miller are the perfect finishers for the team. The Titans have a lot of depth in their batting thanks to Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan and they will be hoping to score a big total here.
Mohammad Shami and Alzarri Joseph make up for a formidable pace attack and they will need to be disciplined here. Rashid Khan has been at his wily best in the spin department but he lacks company there as he is the only quality slower bowler on the team.

The Knight Riders fans would have been pretty disappointed with the result of their opening fixture as they narrowly lost out to the Punjab Kings via the Duckworth Lewis Method. But they returned to the Eden Gardens in style by registering a thumping win over the RCB on Thursday.
All the off-field drama concerning the unavailability of Shakib Al-Hasan and Litton Das didn’t seem to affect the on-field performance of the KKR players as they pulled out a brilliant team effort. The management has roped in Jason Roy for the upcoming matches and seeing his scintillating knocks in the PSL, we can expect more fireworks from him here.
The middle order for the Knight Riders appears to be considerably weaker when compared to the Titans, at least on paper. However, we did see excellent performances from Rinku Singh and Shardul Thakur in the last match and they will be hoping to continue with the momentum.
The West Indian all-rounders, Andre Russell, and Sunil Narine will be the key players here as they can quickly shift the momentum of the game with their lofty shots. Suyash Sharma had a dream debut on his IPL journey as he picked up 3 wickets after being brought in as an impact player and we will surely see more of him going ahead.
Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy bowled brilliant spells and will once again play an important role in this match.

Pitch and Conditions
The surface at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is excellent to bat on and we can expect a high-scoring encounter. The team batting first will be looking to get close to 200 runs on the board to put the opposition under pressure. The wicket does have some grass on it which will help the quicker bowlers at least in the first few overs.
