The Durban Super Giants were one of the most consistent teams in the group stages of this season and were one of the first teams to book a place in the playoffs. However, they will be very disappointed with the way they performed in Qualifier 1 where they were easily defeated by the Sunrisers.
Nevertheless, the team has a second chance at making it to the finals and will look to win here.
Matthew Breetzke will be the key batsman for the team in this match. He has been pretty consistent at the top of the order and is also the leading run-scorer for the team. Heinrich Klaasen has also played well, scoring 3 half-centuries.
Klaasen can hit the ball freely and can have a devastating impact on the opposition on his day. Much was expected from Tony de Zorzi and Quinton de Kock but the duo has been underwhelming with the bat. JJ Smuts and Wiaan Mulder are the two quality all-rounders on the team who add depth to the batting.
