The Dindigul Dragons were one of the most consistent teams during the Group Stage, losing just 1 of the 7 matches and finishing 2nd on the points table. However, they were a bit unlucky during Qualifier 1 as they lost out to the Lyca Kovai Kings by 30 runs. They now have a chance to redeem themselves and feature in the finals for the first time since the 2019 season.
Vimal Khumar and Shivam Singh make up for an excellent opening pair, where Shivam Singh in particular has been very impressive. He has scored 3 half-centuries so far and is the leading run-scorer for the Dragons this season. Baba Indrajith and Adithya Ganesh will be the key batsmen in the middle order as the likes of Boopathi Kumar and G Kishoor have struggled to score runs.
Sarath Kumar played a brilliant cameo of 62 runs in just 23 deliveries and will look to do the same here. Coming to the bowling, Subodh Bhati bowled an excellent spell in the last match, picking up 4 wickets, and is now the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
He will be looking for support from fellow speedsters Saravana Kumar and G Kishoor at the other end. Varun Chakaravarthy is the specialist spinner on the team and has picked up 12 wickets. He is also quite economical, giving away just 6.53 runs per over.
