After making a terrible start to the season, the Capitals have won back-to-back matches, the latest of which was against the Sunrisers. As a result, they will be fancying their chances here. Nevertheless, they are still at the bottom of the points table and still have quite a bit of work to do to reach the top half.
While the team will still rely on David Warner to give them a good start here, the Capitals would have been a bit relieved to see the likes of Mitchell Marsh and Manish Pandey score some runs in the last match. The team does have plenty of firepower in their top and middle order, including Prithvi Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan, and Phil Salt, however, all three of them have failed to get going till now.
One of the players that we would recommend taking a punt on is Phil Salt. His ability to score quickly is well-established and he is the current first-choice opening batter for England. The market seems to be undervaluing him a bit right now.
Axar Patel has showcased his all-round talent pretty well this season and is the second-highest run-scorer for the Capitals this season. He has also picked up 6 wickets and is a vital cog in the squad. He will partner with Kuldeep Yadav to ask tough questions to the Sunrisers’ batting.
This ability to pick up wickets in the middle-overs could end up being very crucial and bring the Capitals in the contest.
Talking about the seam bowling, Ishant Sharma has played just 2 matches this season but has made a big impact on the proceedings. In addition, the team also has Anrich Nortje and Mukesh Kumar, and together, the trio makes up a decent pace attack.

Despite the season being halfway through, the Sunrisers have been unable to find the right combination of players, especially in the batting department, and have paid a heavy price for it. One of the most hyped additions to the team, Harry Brook, has struggled against the slower bowlers and has only one big inning to flash his big-hitting credentials.
Most teams have worked out that Brook still needs to adapt his game to spin and is especially vulnerable on slightly slower surfaces.
Mayank Agarwal and Rahul Tripathi have been a bit more consistent but they have been made to work hard to score those runs and we haven’t seen a fluent innings from them. In fact, we would say that both players have underperformed their potential despite getting an average amount of runs.
The team does have a good amount of depth thanks to Heinrich Klaasen Aiden Markram, and Washington Sundar but none of them have been able to play a match-winning inning. Sending Markram and Klaasen up the order may be something that SRH is forced to do in this match.
The Sunrisers have one of the strongest pace attacks in the league, at least on paper. But despite having some big names including Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, Marco Jansen, and T Natarajan, it is Mayank Markande who has emerged as the top bowler for the team.
The Sunrisers will need to go back to the drawing board and will have to rework their strategy if they want to turn things around.

The Delhi Capitals defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad and we think that they can do so again. Some of the big names in their batting line-up seem to have finally gained some confidence and we should see them score some runs here. On the other hand, the Sunrisers have struggled to perform as a unit.
We think the DC batting lineup has not yet fired and if players like Salt or even Shaw can get going then the team has a great chance of having a strong second half of the season.
