The Chepauk Super Gillies are the most successful team in the history of TNPL and are the defending champions this time around. They scored a convincing win over the Salem Spartans in their opening match, and have shown that they still maintain an excellent form.
Chepauk Super Gillies boast of an enviable batting line-up. Pradosh Paul and N Jagadeesan are likely to start the proceedings with the bat. Jagadeesan has had an excellent domestic season and will be looking to carry on with that form here. Paul scored a brilliant half-century in the opening match and appears to be in good touch.
The Super Gillies have further strengthened their batting by roping in Baba Aparajith and Sanjay Yadav who were among the top 3 scorers for the last season. Uthirasamy Sasidev, Harish Kumar, and Rajagopal Sathish add depth to the batting.
Coming to the bowling, Harish Kumar and Ramalingam Rohit are likely to lead the seam attack, along with M Viju Arul. The Super Gillies has a potent spin attack too, consisting of the likes of M Silambarasan, Rahil Shah, and Rocky Bhasker.

The Tiruppur Tamizhans will need to do a lot of work on their batting, especially as they face a quality bowling attack like the Super Gillies. Tushar Raheja and NS Chaturved are likely to open the batting here and the team will be banking on them to give a good start.
The middle order is made up of Vishal Vaidhya, Balchander Ashwin, and S Ganesh will be looking to stabilize the innings during the middle overs.
