The Chepauk Super Gillies started their campaign on a strong note, winning their first two matches of the season quite easily. However, they did falter in their last match, where they were overcome by the Lyca Kovai Kings. The Super Gillies are currently 4th on the table and will be looking to win here to get back in the top 2.
The batting has been a bit of a letdown for the Super Gillies this season. They arguably have one of the strongest batting units in the League but have failed to fire at all cylinders. Wicket-keeper batsman Pradosh Ranjan Paul is the top-scorer of the team so far with 119 runs.
However, Baba Aparajith, Sanjay Yadav, and N Jagadeesan have failed to consistently. The team does have depth in its batting, thanks to all-rounders like U Sasidev, Harish Kumar, and Santosh Shiv. Ramalingam Rohit will lead the pace attack here along with Harish Kumar, with Vijay Arul and Lokesh Raj coming in with supporting roles.
