Central Districts

The Central Districts team completed their last match in the tournament just a while earlier against the Wellington Firebirds. Wellington defeated them in this game by a margin of four wickets. Batting first, the Central Districts team scored 158 runs for the loss of as many as seven wickets from their quota of twenty overs. Otago Volts

The Otago Volts played their last game in the competition against Northern Districts. They won this game easily by a huge margin of eight wickets. Batting first, Northern Districts scored 128 runs from their overs. This target was nowhere close to being a competitive one. The Otago Volts' top-order batters chase it quickly with 18 balls and eight wickets to spare. The Otago all-rounder Glenn Phillips was awarded Player of the Match for his effort of 53 runs from 30 balls. He also picked up a wicket during the ND innings.

The Otago Volts bowling attack was right on the money for the side and restricted the Northern Districts team to a score of 128 runs all out from 18.3 overs. Jacob Duffy was the pick of the bowlers for Northern Districts, picking up four wickets for 19 runs from his 3.3 overs. He was well-supported by Jake Gibson, who picked up three wickets for 19 runs from three overs. Even though Otago Volts lost the wicket of Hamish Rutherford early, the skipper Dean Foxcroft and Glenn Phillips ensured that there was no collapse and the team got across the line comfortably.
