CK vs AA Match Prediction - Dec 03, 2022

The domestic cricketing season has just about started across the globe and we are already seeing various domestic tournaments popping up into the action. We are already a bit into The Ford Trophy - New Zealand's One Day domestic tournament and the competition is expected to be fierce. With the fifty-over World Cup just under a year away, the players playing the tournament would want to present a case to the selectors.

Up next in the tournament, we have Canterbury Kings set to take on Auckland Aces in what will be the sixth match of the tournament. The two sides have had contrasting fates up until now and will want to do well here in this match. The match between the two sides is to be played on 4th December 2022 at the Mainpower Oval, Canterbury.

CK vs AA Team Previews

Canterbury Kings

Canterbury Kings have started their campaign with a decent win in their previous match and it would be the first time they'll be taking on Auckland Aces in this tournament. With a win in one of their two matches, the Kings are placed at the second spot on the points table at the moment. They have a pretty good net run-rate of 0.808 and will want to build on it and get to the top of the table.

They are coming in this match on the back of an embarrassing loss at the hands of Northern Districts. They failed to do anything of substance in any of the two departments as they not only failed to keep Northern Districts down to a reasonable total but they also could not cope up with the pressure of chasing. Having said that, they would want to assume this to be a one-off loss, which could perhaps act as a wake-up call, given the way their did in their preceding match.

On paper, Canterbury Kings have a decent side and would want to come back to the winning ways. They would want their experienced players to step up here in this match and if they can do that, getting past them could prove to be a rather difficult job.

Auckland Aces

Auckland Aces once used to be a force to reckon with in New Zealand's domestic circuit but they have been far from their best in the recent times, especially in the limited overs format. They have started in this edition on a poor note too and would want to score a win to not go down the barrel again.

As it currently stands on the points table, they are placed at the bottom spot with no win from a couple of games. The couple of points that they have were accumulated because of the wash-out they sustained in their opening match. More recently though, they were defeated by Otago Volts quite comprehensively as they put up a subpar total batting first.

The Aces have a littleinexperienced side but they certainly are no short on talent. They would need to put their best foot forward in the upcoming match and if they can do that, Canterbury Kings will certainly have their work cut out.

CK vs AA Betting Tips

This is an important match in the context of the tournament and the points table and both sides would want to register a win here, albeit for different reasons. Canterbury Kings have done better in the tournament and in the recent past and will be more confident of the two sides. They also have a slightly better balanced side between the two, and would therefore go in as favorites to win this upcoming game. Back Canterbury Kings to win.
