Guyana Amazon Warriors Women

Guyana Amazon Warriors did a reasonable job during the league stages of the competition. They won a couple of games and lost a couple. However, they have a good side and look threatening at least on paper. They indeed have one of the better batting line-ups in the competition and their bowling is pretty good as well. Sophie Divine has been terrific in the competition having put together 231 runs. Another player that has made a significant impact is Suzie Bates. She has chipped in with 87 runs. 

Stefanie Taylor also played a few good innings for Guyana. The best wicket-taking bowlers for Guyana have been Shabnim Ismail, Shreyanka Patil, and Sophie Divine. These bowlers are likely to pick up crucial breakthroughs during the final game. Divine in particular has bowled well with the new ball and has picked up 5 wickets. Shreyanka is also a good bowler and has been deceptive at times for the opposition picking up 8 scalps. Shabnim has had a pretty ordinary competition but she is a terrific bowler nevertheless.

Guyana Amazon Warriors have done a good job in the competition so far. Their top-order batting has managed to score most of the runs while the bowlers have succeeded in putting their opposition under pressure. The Guyana women played their last game in the competition against the Trinbago women. This was the 6th game of the competition and it was played at the same venue as this game. Batting first, Trinbago women were bundled out for 72 runs. The Guyana women easily chased the target in 7.3 overs for the loss of a single wicket.
