Barbados Royals
The Barbados Royals can again look to South African star Quinton de Kock for a big perfomance. He has been in superb form this CPL season. De Kock has collected 434 runs in 10 innings. He has one century and two half-tons to show for his outstanding effort.
But de Kock is going to need solid support from David Miller, Rovman Powell and others. They will be up against a solid Trinbago bowling attack, which boasts talented seamers and spinners. In isolation and combination, the opposition bowlers will be on a missing to outdo the Royals batters.
Maheesh Theekshana could again be the standout performer with the ball for the Royals. The Sri Lankan spinner has raced to 15 wickets in this year's CPL. He has enjoyed turn and bounce in conducive conditions across the Caribbean. Look forward to another big peformance from Theekshana.
Barbados have three other bowlers who have taken 10 or more wickets this CPL season, too. Naveen-ul-Haq, Jason Holder and Obed McCoy have been really complementary to Theekshana. This bowling threat is a big plus for the Royals and their bid to beat the four-time CPL champions in this match.

Trinbago Knight Riders
Nicholas Pooran, Keacy Carty and Kieron Pollard exemplified Trinbago's homegrown batting resources in the 2024 Caribbean Premier League. Pooran has all but matched de Kock's efforts by hitting one century and two half-tons as well. This is going to be a hugely entertaining battle between the big-hitters.
Andre Russell, Tim David and Sunil Narine have also weighed in with important cameos here and there. Trinbago's depth with the bat is one of the big reasons they have made it this far in the competition again. In this match, too, they'll want to show why they are statistically among the best batting units in T20 cricket around the world.
Waqar Salamkheil has taken 15 wickets for the Knight Riders in this year's CPL. The Afghanistan spinner, like Theekshana, has exploited extra bounce and turn really well. He should be in for similar conditions again, but will be confronted by a huge challenge in trying to successfully combat Pooran and company.
Narine has not necessarily been at his best at an all-rounder this month, but his role with the ball has continued to impress. Not only has he collected 11 wickets, but he has collected a relatively low average and economy rate. Anticipate a significant performane from this Knight Riders talisman.
