The Royals have had quite a varied season, as they haven’t had a consecutive win or loss all season. For example, an embarrassing defeat to the Knight Riders by 133 runs was then followed up by a statement victory over the Tallawahs by six wickets (six balls remaining).
The batting, naturally, has been great at times, but also terrible. Every player has been wildly inconsistent, although Mayers seems to be trending in the right direction for a total of 143. Powell (150) and Athanaze (132) have had their moments, but the player likely to make the biggest impact is still Cornwall (179 runs). He’s had a couple of iffy games but his massive 102* against the Patriots was special.
For the bowling, Holder is solid at picking up wickets (12), but he’s also allowed 252 runs for a bad ER of 9.27. He has bowled the most overs, so it’s to be expected, but he’ll have to work on that economy rate. Ahmad is a little better with 8/196, but these two bowlers are still the best hope for the Royals.

The Warriors have won four games in a row, but they haven’t played the Royals yet, so it’s going to be intriguing. The team is getting amazing batting performances from Ayub (145 runs) due to his consistency at the crease. Hope is also reliable with 143 runs, and there are valuable contributions from Hetmyer (135) and Paul (122). It seems as if the batting lineup doesn’t need one star to rely on, although you’d like to see a better effort from Hemraj (14 runs in three games).
The Warriors’ bowlers don’t exactly have incredible stats, but each player is simply chipping in well enough and getting the job done. Motie is the highest wicket-taker with 7/111, and Shepherd and Pretorius both have 6 wickets. The best bowler often changes with each match, as there are four players to have games with 3 or more wickets.

If Mayers and Cornwall can each continue to bat like they’ve done recently, and if Holder can remove the biggest Warriors threats like Ayub and Hope, then we really think that the Royals can get this victory. Although he's not the top overall scorer, we trust Mayers a bit more right now due to his form, as he had 70 & 22 in his last two games. He's starting to find his rhythm and although he'll have to work harder for the runs, there's a strong chance he could dominate this match.
Hope has made 143 runs so far in the League, and he's arguably the most consistent batter on the team. He's already had two half-centuries this season, so it's a pretty safe bet than he'll make over 18.5.
