Munro has plenty of experience playing T20 cricket in domestic leagues around the world. He has also played international cricket for New Zealand. He struck 99 not out against the Melbourne Stars earlier this BBL season.
Nathan Ellis has been in fine form for Hobart. He is well known for his pinpoint accuracy, clever slower deliveries and threatening yorkers. He is the captain of the Hurricanes and can inspire them to victory with the ball here.
Walter is Brisbane's overseas recruit and has been bringing good value. He took two wickets against the Sydney Sixers recently and, before that, three against the Melbourne Renegades. He knows the conditions in Brisbane well.
The Brisbane Heat and Hobart Hurricanes will play the 29th match of this season's Big Bash League. The Heat and Hurricanes currently occupy first and fifth position, respectively, on the 2023-24 BBL's eight-team point table.
There will be plenty to bet on before and during this match. Let's see what the cricket odds and betting markets have in store for this key Big Bash clash between Brisbane and Hobart.
The Hurricanes have three wins to the Heat's two in their last five BBL meetings. Neither team managed to get two wins a row in that period. Four of the five victories were won by the team that batted first.

Brisbane remain undefeated in this season's BBL. They have won five matches and shared two no-results. The Heat strung consecutive defeats together against the Sydney Thunder twice and Melbourne Renegades recently. The Brisbane team have been fine form individually and collectively.
Colin Munro and Nathan McSweeney are the Heat's leading run-scorers this season. Munro has hit 166 to McSweeney's 133. The latter's strike rate of 112 is relatively low, though. Meanwhile, Brisbane could welcome the return of Usman Khawaja as Australia's Test series against Pakistan has ended.
Bowling-wise, Xavier Barlett and Paul Walter have been the Heat's standout seamers. They have shared 18 wickets and have both frequently challenged opposition batters in batting-friendly conditions. Matthew Kuhnemann and Mitchell Swepson have weighed in with 15 wickets collectively. Kuhnemann and Swepson are arguably the best left-arm spinner and wrist-spinner, respectively, in the tournament.
The Heat have not won the BBL title since 2013. They ended as runners-up last season. A win over the Hurricanes here would maintain their status at the top of the points table and show that they continue to mean business in pursuit of a second BBL title.
The Hurricanes had lost three of their opening four matches of the BBL season, but have since put together consecutive wins over the Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunder. Hobart remain in contention for a play-off berth and a win here would certainly help that push.
Caleb Jewell and Macalister Wright have emerged as the Hurricanes' standout performers with the bat this season. Jewell as 143 runs and Wright 138. They are both striking at 140-plus. Jewell and Wright will be hard pressed against Swepson, Bartlett and company, though.
Hobart have not been as impressive as Brisbane with the ball. Nathan Ellis and Riley Meredith have taken six and five wickets each, respectively, this BBL season. Both have some international experience in Australia's ODI or T20I team and both are keen to keep the national selectors interested in a T20 World Cup year.
Hobart have never won the BBL. They have finished as runners-up twice. Whether this will be their season to clinch a maiden title remains in the balance. If they are able to beat the table-topping Heat, though, the Hurricanes will increase their stocks as serious title contenders this year.
The Gabba in Brisbane will host this match. It is Brisbane's homeground. The two completed BBL matches at the Gabba this season have seen the toss-winning captain choose to bat first once and bowl first once.
The team to win the toss this time will likely choose to bowl first. In this format and tournament, sides generally prefer to chase rather than set targets.
The Gabba has produced first-innings scores of 172 and 214 this BBL season. A first-innings score of 180-plus, this time, should be considered competitive.
Both teams will likely field two specialist spinners. No rain is forecast in the area the day before the match and on matchday. We should see a full fixture, not shortened by wet weather.
Brisbane look in a stronger position than Hobart to win this match. This could be an interesting battle between the Heat's bowlers and Hurricanes' batters in particular.
Bet on the Heat to win this match as 1.68 favorites. The Hurricanes are priced as 2.22 underdogs.
