Adelaide Strikers
The Adelaide Strikers have lost consecutive matches as they head into this contest and will look to get back to winning ways as they return to home turf.
The Adelaide Strikers will be banking on the top 3 batsmen to deliver the goods. The opening pair of Matthew Short and D’Arcy Short is in good form as they have scored 2 half-centuries each in 3 innings. Chris Lynn had a relatively quiet start to the season but returned to form in the last match as he scored 56 runs from just 34 deliveries.
The form of middle-order batsmen including Jake Weatherald, James Bazley, and Adam Hose hasn’t been the best and the team will need at least one of them to play a long inning. The seamers, Jamie Overton and David Payne have done a good job, picking up 6 wickets each.
The spin attack consists of Cameron Boyce and Matthew Short, who have taken 4 wickets between them.
Adelaide Strikers Playing 11
Matthew Short, D'Arcy Short, Chris Lynn, Adam Hose, Jamie Overton, Harry Nielsen, James Bazley, Benjamin Manenti, Wes Agar, Brendan Doggett, Cameron Boyce.
Melbourne Stars
The Stars weren’t off to the best of starts as they lost their first 3 matchs. However, they have seen a turnaround of sorts in the last week as they have won back-to-back matches. They have now climbed to the 4th spot on the table.
Glenn Maxwell was in brilliant all-round form in the last match as he picked up 3 wickets and scored 35 runs in a rain-affected match. He will once again be a key player. Sam Harper’s poor form is a cause of concern for the Stars as he hasn’t been able to give the team a strong start.
Hilton Cartwright is the most consistent batsman for the team and is the leading run-scorer for them. The Star’s bowling seems considerably weaker as Haris Rauf and Usama Mir are unavailable for the remainder of the season. They were the leading wicket-takers for the team so far.
Dan Lawrence will likely come in as a replacement and will add depth to the batting. He, along with Imad Wasim, can also bowl well. Joel Paris and Marcus Stoinis are likely to lead the seam attack, while Wasim, Maxwell, and Glenn Maxwell will man the spin department.
Melbourne Stars Playing 11
Sam Harper, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Hilton Cartwright, Thomas Fraser Rogers, Beau Webster, Dan Lawrence, Imad Wasim, Joel Paris, Corey Rocchiccioli, Mark Steketee.

Pitch and Conditions
The pitch at the Adelaide Oval is excellent to bat on. The average first-inning score on this ground is around 175. That said, the seamers will get some help early on in the match when the ball is new. There is a good amount of pace and bounce on offer. However, the bowlers will need to be careful with their line and length.
The weather is likely to be clear with temperatures of between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
ADS vs MLS Betting Tips
The Melbourne Stars didn’t have the strongest of starts to their campaign but have picked up steam in the last couple of matches. While their performance is far from perfect, they have a slight edge in this contest, thanks to a stronger middle order.
Bet on the Melbourne Stars to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The pitch at the Adelaide Oval is good to bat on. As there are plenty of big hitters on both sides, we are expecting some big overs in this match.
The opening pair of D’Arcy Short and Matthew Short has done a good job so far and has given the Strikers a couple of good starts. On the other hand, the Melbourne Stars are yet to find a stable opening pair. We are therefore backing the Strikers to put up a higher partnership.
Harper hasn’t been in the best of forms this season. His aggregate score in 5 innings is 27 runs, scored at an average of 5.40 and his highest score during the same time is 17. We are therefore predicting another poor outing for him.
