The Trinbago Knight Riders are the most successful franchise in the history of CPL, having won the title for a record 4 times. However, they had a terrible run in the last season and finished at the bottom of the points table as the Knight Riders managed to win just 3 of the 10 matches they played. This was the first time that the team failed to reach the playoffs in the league’s 10-year history.
Nevertheless, the Knight Riders have made a few changes in their squad and will be hoping to come back stronger this season.
Bet on the CPLThe batting will be one of the biggest strengths for the Trinbago Knight Riders. While they have lost a couple of good international players like Tim Seifert and Colin Munro, the team management has brought in Martin Guptill and Rilee Rossouw, who are among the most destructive T20 batsmen. The Knight Riders have also retained Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran, both of whom can take the opposition bowlers to the cleaners. The team also has some talented allrounders like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. In addition, they have brought in Dwayne Bravo and Mark Deyal, adding plenty of depth to the batting.
While there are plenty of big hitters in the squad, the Knight Riders lack a batsman who can anchor the innings by staying at one end. In such a case, there is always a danger of a batting collapse, especially when the team faces a quality bowling attack. Another potential weakness can be bowling. Two of their top seamers from the last season, Ravi Rampaul and Daryn Dupavillon aren’t available this time around, while Sunil Narine isn’t in the best of forms. Andre Russell’s fitness is a bit questionable. They will have to depend on CPL debutants Noor Ahmad and Matheesha Pathirana to deliver the goods, alongside the more experienced duo of Akeal Hosein and Dwyane Bravo.

Pooran has scored 5394 runs in the T20 format, which includes 29 half-centuries and a century. Looking at his recent performances, we are backing Pooran to be the top batsman for the Trinbago Knight Riders this season.
Known for his unusual slingshot action, Matheesha Pathirana is known for his ability to bowl unplayable yorkers. He had an excellent outing in the most recent season of the IPL. Playing under the captaincy of MS Dhoni has helped Pathirana hone his skills and he is likely to enjoy bowling on the flat and bouncy surfaces in West Indies.
Noor Ahmad has often been touted as the successor to Rashid Khan when it comes to the Afghanistan National team. Since his T20 debut in 2019, Noor has played in T20 franchises around the world, including the Lankan Premier League, the Big Bash, and PSL. He was most recently seen as a part of the Gujarat Titans in the IPL, where he picked up 16 wickets in 13 matches.
Kieron Pollard
Known for his electric presence on the field, Pollard can contribute in all departments of the game, be it batting, bowling, or fielding. He is one of the most destructive batsmen towards the end of an innings, thanks to his legendary hard-hitting skills. We are likely to see plenty of action from him this season.
Dwayne Bravo
Coming in from St. Kitts and Nevis, Bravo adds strength to the Trinbago core. He is the most successful bowler in the history of CPL and is also the all-time leading wicket-taker in the T20 of format. Bravo can also bat well.
