SRH vs RCB 65th Match Prediction

Betting Tips

Highest Opening Partnership - Royal Challengers Bangalore (1.668)

The Royal Challengers have one of the strongest opening pairs in this year’s IPL, as both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are in excellent form. On the other hand, the Sunrisers have struggled to find a consistent opening pair.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Total Runs after 10 overs - Over 76.5 (1.59)

RCB have 3 of the most destructive batsmen in the T20 format playing in their top order. We expect them to score briskly here as they face a mediocre bowling line-up of the Sunrisers.

Total Wickets - Over 12.5 (1.83)

3 of the last 4 matches played here have seen at least 13 wickets fall in the match. The Royal Challengers don’t have the strongest middle order, while the batting for SRH has struggled throughout this season. We are, therefore, expecting plenty of wickets to fall here.

Royal Challengers Bangalore To Win the Match, 1.67

  • Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell are in terrific form for RCB

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking to further strengthen their case for a playoff berth as they face the Sunrisers Hyderabad for their penultimate match in the group stage of the Indian Premier League. Neither side can afford a loss to have a realistic chance of making the IPL 2023 playoffs.

The Sunrisers have a slight edge in this respect as of the 22 matches played between the two teams so far, they have won 12, while RCB has managed to win 9. 1 match had no outcome.

The match can be streamed live on the Jio Cinema App or can be watched on the Star Sports Network.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers’ terrible run this season continues as they lost their latest fixture, against the Gujarat Titans, on Monday. With that loss, it is now impossible for them to catch up with the top 4 and they are now eliminated from the race to the playoffs.

Nevertheless, they still have 2 matches to play, including this one, and will be looking to play for pride here.

The batting has been a big disappointment for the team and their woes continued in the last match as they faced yet another top-order failure. Despite having some quality players in the squad, including Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Harry Brook, and Rahul Tripathi in the team, the Sunrisers haven’t been able to get going.

At this point in the season, we would not want to put our money on any of the SRH top order batters. Rahul Tripathi has had such a poor season that he may find himself out of the Indian team as well.

The only saving grace for them has been the performance of Heinrich Klaasen, who has played consistently well lower down the order and has a couple of half-centuries. He is an excellent player of both pace and spin. He is also often abvailable for some very attractive odds to be the top scorer, hit a six, or other such betting markets.

Talking about the bowling, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been impressive in the last few matches and also picked up a fifer in the previous match.

He will be supported by Marco Jansen, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and T Natarajan in the seam department, while Mayank Markande and Aiden Markram will be seen during the middle overs. SRH's squad looked promising at the start of IPL 2023 but has failed to deliver.

We think a lack of cohesive strategy from the team management has to be one of the prime reasons for this failure.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The RCB campaign appeared to be in trouble after they suffered back-to-back losses on the road against the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. However, a huge win over the Rajasthan Royals in their latest campaign gave them a huge boost and they are now back as a serious contender to finish in the top 4.

But for that to happen, the team will need to win each of their 2 upcoming matches, including this one, and will also need a couple more matches to have favorable results.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave the team yet another brisk start, and have once again proved that they are one of the best opening pairs this season. After the departure of Kohli, Glenn Maxwell continued the good work as he stitched a 69-run partnership with Du Plessis for the second wicket to put up a strong base.

Everyone knows this by now but the facts cannot be changed. RCB needs its top-3 to fire if it has to have a chance.

The middle-order batting woes continue for RCB as Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Kartik failed to perform with the bat yet again. But a good cameo by Anuj Rawat ensured that the team put up a good total. This lack of quality in the batting group could prove to be very costly.

The bowlers were brilliant in the last match as they bowled out a strong RR batting line-up for just 59 runs, which is the lowest total by any team this season.

While Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel remain the mainstay of seam bowling for RCB, Wayne Parnell bowled an excellent spell in the last match. The spinners, Karn Sharma and Michael Bracewell picked up 4 wickets between them and will be looking to continue with the good work here.

Siraj's powerplay performances and Parnell's cutters could be crucial in this match against SRH as well.

SRH vs RCB Toss Prediction

3 of the last 4 matches played here this season have been won by teams batting first. We, therefore, think that the winner of the toss will likely opt to bat first here.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is flat and dry. There isn’t much grass on the surface either and the ball will come nicely onto the bat. A score of between 170 and 180 can be considered a par score here.

The spinners will be able to get some turn as cracks and rough patches develop. The weather is expected to be dry and warm, with temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius.

Looking at the performances of both teams so far this season, we think that Royal Challengers Bangalore enjoys the upper hand. The Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated and will be feeling a bit deflated when they take the field, while RCB has plenty to play for.

Bet on the Royal Challengers Bangalore to win.
