LSG vs RCB 43rd Match Prediction

Betting Tips

Total 6’s in the Match - Under 13.0 (1.90)

While there are a number of strong batters on both sides, we expect the conditions to be slow and bowler-friendly. This could make getting big hits a bit tough. Also, Lucknow has been among the venues with the least sixes per match so far.

Total Runs in the Highest Scoring over of the Match - Under 19.5 (1.95)

Continuing with our belief that the match will be a low-scoring one, we are going to bet Under 19.5 runs being scored here. The pitch here is pretty well-balanced and it will not be easy for the batsmen to go after the bowlers. We, therefore, think that it is unlikely that we will see an over with 20 or more runs scored.

Mohammed Siraj Total Wickets - Over 1.5 (2.50)

This is a risky bet by its nature but the odds being offered are quite attractive. Siraj has been RCB’s premier bowler this season and has picked up 14 wickets so far. He has a strike rate of 13.71. The pitch at Lucknow has been quite helpful to the bowlers as seen in the last few matches. We are therefore backing Siraj to pick up at least 2 wickets here.

LSG vs RCB Match Prediction

Lucknow Super Giants To Win the Match, 2.05

  • RCB has a strong bowling attack led by Mohammad Siraj
  • LSG's batting seems a bit deeper and less dependent on just a few players
  • The slow conditions in Lucknow could challenge RCB
Bet on Lucknow Super Giants for Real Money

The Lucknow Super Giants will be aiming to complete a double as they host the Royal Challengers Bangalore as the Indian Premier League begins a fresh week.

Both teams have faced each other on 20 occasions so far. The Sunrisers Hyderabad enjoy an advantage here as they have won 13 matches, while the Punjab Kings have won 7.

The match can be live-streamed on the Jio Cinema App or watched live on the Star Sports Network.

Lucknow Super Giants

The Super Giants will be thrilled with their performance in the latest outing as they thrashed the Punjab Kings by 56 runs in their backyard.

It was a scintillating batting performance by the top and middle-order batsmen as they took the opposition bowling to the cleaners. The Super Giants posted a whopping 257-5 in their 20 overs, which is the second-highest total by any team in the IPL.

The team will hope to put up a similar performance here as they face a formidable opponent in the form of RCB.

Kyle Mayers has been excellent so far, scoring 4 half-centuries in his 8 innings. not only has been consistent but he has also been able to score at a very quick rate and hits sixes at will. To be able to keep Quinton de Kock out of the starting eleven is something that not many people would have expected of him.

He will be looking for good support from his opening partner, KL Rahul, who has been a bit slow in scoring runs. The problem with Rahul seems that he is unaware of the issues around his strike rate but that surely has to change soon.

The Super Giants have a strong middle order as Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis, and Ayush Badoni all appear in good form. Stoinis hobbled off the field after a blow to his hand and may not be available for this match.

We think the LSG bowling matches up very well against the RCB batters. They have a number of spinners that can come into the fray and exploit some slow conditions. Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, or even K Gowtham can be used to try and slow up the RCB batters.

Mark Wood has not played the previous few matches but in his absence, Naveen-ul-Haq has stepped up and shown his quality during the death overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been rather inconsistent this season and will need to work harder in the upcoming matches if they want to gain a foothold in the top-4. They are starting a run of away matches that could be quite tough for them.

While the batting has been one of the highlights of the team’s performance, it is the top 3 batsmen who have done the bulk of the heavy lifting. Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli have been one of the most potent opening pairs this season, and have scored 5 half-centuries a piece. Glenn Maxwell has batted well too. However, the batsmen lower down have struggled to build on the good starts.

Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Kartik, and Shahbaz Ahmed haven’t been able to get going. Teams know that if they can get a couple of early wickets then RCB is always going to be vulnerable. We know that Virat, Faf, and Maxwell are in good form but they have no option but to attack and their chances of failure increase.

Talking about the bowling, the seamers have done an excellent job so far. Mohammed Siraj has taken 14 wickets and is the joint-highest wicket-taker this season. Siraj has the most dot balls during the powerplay and his economy rate overall is better than Rashid Khan right now!

He has received good support from Harshal Patel at the other end but the latter has been a bit expensive. David Willey, Vijaykumar Vyshak, and Wayne Parnell have bowled well in patches, while Wanindu Hasaranga is the only specialist spinner on the team.

The bowling attack for RCB is not bad by any stretch but it does seem like one that can be put under pressure. Hasaranga may be the bowler that has to step up and really make an impact in this match.

LSG vs RCB Toss Prediction

The winner of the toss will likely opt to bat first here. With the wickets slowing up slightly, teams may prefer to set the target and then bring in their spinners to try and squeeze the opposition.

Pitch and Conditions

The surface at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow isn’t the easiest to bat on and is likely to produce a more even battle between the bat and the ball. In the 4 matches played here this season, the average first-inning score has been around 152.

Anything over 160 can be a bit tricky to chase.

The pitch has some dry patches and the bounce is not the greatest. It offers some help to both the spinners as well as the seamers. There is a forecast of rain here which might lead to delays or interruptions.

We think the two teams are pretty evenly matched but the fact that most bookmakers have RCB as the favorites does not make sense to us. LSG is playing in home conditions where it is going to be tough to beat. The slow and low conditions could test the RCB batters. We have also just seen LSG truly unlock its batting potential and that may push it on to greater things.

We think you should back the underdog in this contest.

Bet on the Lucknow Super Giants to win.
