Betting Tips

Total runs - Over 349.5

3.85

The Adelaide Oval is a high-scoring venue. The average aggregate score on this ground in the last 8 matches is around 354. We are therefore expecting plenty of runs to be scored.

Highest Opening Partnership Adelaide Strikers

1.80

Matthew Short and D’Arcy Short are among the most consistent performers for the Strikers this season and have given the team plenty of good starts this season. On the other hand, the Hurricanes are struggling to find a stable opening pair. We are therefore backing the Strikers to put up the higher opening partnership.

Total 6s - Over 11.5

1.75

As mentioned earlier, the Adelaide Oval is a high-scoring venue. The boundaries aren’t the biggest and as both teams have some big strikers of the ball, we are likely to see plenty of maximums.

ADS vs HBH Team Previews

Adelaide Strikers

The Adelaide Strikers haven’t had a good season so far. With just 2 wins to show in 7 matches, the team is 6th on the points table. However, to their credit, the team is coming into this contest on the back of a thumping win over the Perth Scorchers and will be feeling quite confident.

While the top 3 batsmen continue to remain in good form, they have received very little support from the middle order. Matthew Short scored a half-century in the last match, his 5th of this season, and is the leading run-scorer for the tournament.

He was well-supported by Chris Lynn, who scored an unbeaten 50, as the duo put up a 96-run partnership to beat the Scorchers. D’Arcy Short has batted well too, scoring 178 runs at a strike rate of 122.75. However, the form of Adam Hose and Harry Nielsen hasn’t been the best.

Jamie Overton has played a couple of good knocks and adds depth to the batting. He is the joint-highest wicket-taker for the team along with David Payne, with 8 wickets each.

They will be joined by Henry Thornton in the pace department. Cameron Boyce and Lloyd Pope will headline the spin attack.

Hobart Hurricanes

Much like their opponents, the Hurricanes too haven’t had much success this season. They are currently 5th on the table and trail the top 4 by 2 points.

Caleb Jewell has been a consistent performer at the top of the order and is the top run-getter for the team. However, he hasn’t had much luck with his opening partners. Matthew Wade wasn’t consistent enough, while his replacement Ben McDermott hasn’t fared much better either.

Similarly, Sam Hain, Corey Anderson, and Tim David have lacked consistency. On a positive note, Nikhil Chaudhary is proving to be the find of the season for the Hurricanes. He has scored 127 runs at an average of 42.33 and has also picked up 4 wickets. He heads the spin attack alongside Patrick Dooley, who has 5 wickets against his name.

The seam department consists of Chris Jordan, Riley Meredith, and Nathan Ellis.

ADS vs HBH Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss will likely opt to bowl first.

Pitch and Conditions

The Adelaide Oval generally offers a good batting track and we expect it to be the same for this match. The team batting first will look to score around 200 runs to give the bowlers a fair chance. The quicker bowlers will get some help when the ball is new but they will need to be disciplined with their line and length.

The spinners can expect some turn throughout the match.

The weather is expected to be clear with temperatures of between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.

ADS vs HBH Betting Tips

Both teams have fared poorly so far and will be desperate for a win. While there are no clear favorites, we feel that the Hobart Hurricanes have a slight edge in this contest. The Adelaide Strikers are overly dependent on their top 3 batsmen to score runs. The Hobart Hurricanes have a better balance of players in their team and are likely to end on top.

Bet on the Hobart Hurricanes to win.
