Trinbago Knight Riders

The Trinbago Knight Riders have been a bit inconsistent this season. While they have lost 2 of their last 3 matches, the team has done enough to book a place in the next phase.

One of the major reasons for the Knight Riders poor performance in recent outings is the fact that the team has been plagued with injuries. Sunil Narine has a quad strain, while Andre Russell is suffering from a hamstring injury.

Dwayne Bravo sustained a groin injury in the previous game and will most likely miss the rest of the tournament. Coming to individual performances, Nicholas Pooran has batted well in patches and is the leading run-scorer for the team with 285.

However, he will need better support from the likes of Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Jason Roy, and Keacy Carty. In the bowling department, Narine and Waqar Salamkheil are the top wicket-takers with 11 wickets each.

On the other hand, Chris Jordan and Akeal Hosein have struggled a bit. 

Barbados Royals

This is the final group-stage match for the Barbados Royals. Given their poor NRR, The team will in most likelihood have to settle for a place in the Eliminator.

The batting for the Royals will be headlined by Quinton de Kock. He has been in red-hot form, scoring 426 runs so far at an average of 60.85. He is the leading run-scorer of this season. However, the same cannot be said about his opening partner, Kadeem Alleyne, who has struggled to get going.

Similarly, despite having some of the most talented T20 batsmen in the middle order like Alick Athanaze, David Miller, and Rovman Powell, the team has often suffered a collapse. The bowlers, particularly the spinners, have fared better.

Maheesh Theekshana is the leading wicket-taker for the team with 12 wickets and is ably supported by Keshav Maharaj. The pace attack is pretty balanced as well, thanks to the presence pf Obed McCoy, Jason Holder, and Naveen Ul-Haq.
